Heather Christine Rozella Schuster, 17, of Pilot Point, Texas, died of cystic fibrosis Saturday, May 16, at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston while waiting for a lung transplant.
A memorial service was held Thursday, May 21, at Midway Baptist Church in Aubrey, with the Rev. Kenny Guthrie officiating.
Ms. Schuster is survived by her parents, Lloyd and Maggie Schuster; sister, Hope Olivia Schuster; paternal grandmother, Beverly Olive; maternal grandparents, Harold and Pat Streicher; aunts, Mare App, Susan Jastrab, Paula Dragas, Kim and Carol Scaliatine and Adele (Brian) Cuddy; uncles, Harold (Renee) Streicher and John (Meghann) Streicher; extended family members, including Melissa Craig; 18 cousins; and beloved horses and pets. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Mel Schuster; and uncle, Glenn Schuster.
