Funeral services for Rev. Monroe Wade Harrison, were held at noon Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Leesville. Burial followed in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Winnfield Funeral Home. Rev. Harrison passed away Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. He is survived by one son, Freddie Wade Harrison, Sr., (Emma) of Leesville; one daughter, Etta Diane May of Oakland, Calif; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lottie Mae Berry and Lillie Mae Thompson, both of Shreveport; three brothers, Alton Harrison of Houston, Clarence Harrison and Clifton Harrison, both of Shreveport; one foster child, Vandell Smith of Jena and many nieces, nephews and friends.
