Born Jan. 25, 1912, in Colquitt County, Mr. Boyd was the son of the late Hattie Mims Boyd and Irvin Boyd. He was a retired farmer and was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Blalock Boyd; three brothers, Elzie Boyd, Jasper Boyd and Turner Boyd; and three sisters, Betsy Flowers, Florence White and Lillian Dyer.
Survivors include a brother, John Boyd of Moultrie; two sisters, Mary Lou Braswell of Berlin and Jewell Cooper of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.
