Solomon Noble, s. of Silas and Mary (Taylor) Noble, was b. Sept. 5, 1768, and d. in Homer, N.Y., March. 12, 1837, ae. 68. He was a blacksmith and skillful manufacturer of edged tools. In 1813, he represented Blandford in the legislature of Massachusetts. he removed, in July, 1815, to Homer, N.Y., and there continued to reside until his death. He possessed an unusually retentive memory.

He m., in Williamstown, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, Sept. 21, 1788, Lois Thomas, b. in Williamstown, Mass., Feb. 26, 1773, dau. of Elijah and Margery (Williams) Thomas. She d. in Cortland, N.Y., Sept. 18, 1832, ae. 59. Her children were all, with the exception of the youngest, born in Blandford, Mass.
