Verna D. (Jackson) White, 57, died on January 13, 2014. She was the daughter of Betty Jean (Harris) and Johnie Jackson, Jr. She is survived by her husband, son and daughter-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, six sisters, two brothers, five step-sisters, two step-brothers, ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnie Jackson, Jr.; step-mother, Ernestine (Washington) Jackson; grandson, Dadisi D. Williams II; three sisters, Marla Daniels, Geneva Lenoir and Pamela Evans; and brother, Sylvester Jackson. A South Bend native, she lived in Chicago for twenty-five years and in Georgia for two years, before returning to South Bend. She and her husband married on November 25, 2007 in Elkhart, Indiana. Funeral: 1:00 p.m. January 17, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home, Guisinger Chapel, South Bend.
