Entered service April 26, 1918, at Austin, in the army. Assigned to Sales Commissary Unit 309, 1st Division. Trained at Camp Dodge. Promoted to first class private. Embarked from Newport News, Aug. 6, 1918, and arrived at Brest, Aug. 19. Participated in the St. Mihiel offensive and the Meuse-Argonne. Arrived at New York, Aug. 23, 1919. Discharged Aug. 31, 1919, at Camp Dodge.
