Clare was a lifelong resident of Cloud County and at one time
had been a country school teacher. She was a member of the
Presbyterian Church and the Bushnell Society of the church.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Eloise Odette, Jamestown; Mrs.
Myrth Christie, Wichita; Mrs. Margaret Bistline, Oklahoma City,
Okla.; Mrs. Mildred Smith, Glasco, and Mrs. Martha Dempsey,
Jewell, and a brother, Jim Johnston, Concordia.
Mrs. Atkinson’s husband, Raymond, died in 1979.
The family suggests memorials to the Diabetes Association.
Friends may call at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
