Benny David King, 76, of Shelby, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Hillsboro to Albert Ross King and Nina Ophelia Hawkins King. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and 22 years in the Civil Service as a fire inspector at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. His is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mildred Lou King; one daughter, Cindy King Edmunds and her husband, Kirk; two grandchildren, Casey Michele Edmunds and Christopher Chase Edmunds; one brother, W.J. King; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Edmunds, David Noud, Greg Fulmer, Chip Krol, Ken Edmunds, Ron Gully, Johnny Hawkins and Jerry Waddell.
Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Edmunds.
