POUGHKEEPSIE - Rosetta Hart, 90 years old, a 65 year resident of Poughkeepsie, peacefully departed this earthly home at Hyde Park Nursing Home, Saturday, July 18, 2009. She was a Domestic Worker most of her life. She was born November 22, 1918 in Whitakers, NC, the daughter of the late Mable Tillery and Matthew Hart. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Rose Marie Hart; one son, Samuel Cherry both of Poughkeepsie; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; one aunt, Piddie Pittman of Enfield, NC; two special cousins, Evelyn M. Dancy and Brenda "Sissy" Graves. Host of cousins and friends. We the family wish to thank Hyde Park Nursing Home and Staff, for the care and love during her stay there. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009, 10am to 11am at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St., Poughkeepsie. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of funeral home on Vassar St. Service will follow visitation at 11:00am with Rev. Jesse Bottoms officiating.
