HARRY D. BEAVER SR. Father of Roman, dies
Harry D. Beaver Sr., father of Harry D. Beaver Jr., 1006 N. James St., St., died early today at his home in Verona.
Other survivors include three daughters, Miss Edith C. Beaver and Mrs.,. Elizabeth B. Kenfield, Verona, and Mrs. Louis M. Higgins, Canandaigua; two other sons, John W. Beaver, Short Beach, Conn, and C. Warren Beaver, Westmoreland; two sisters, Miss Edith A. Beaver, Verona, and Mrs. Jessie B. King, New York; a brother, W. Warner Beaver, New York: 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
Son of John and Henrietta Spafford Beaver, he was born in New York Dec. 6, 1868 and had resided in Verona since 1901.
Mr. Beaver married twice, His first wife, Florence Sleight whom he married in Verona Oct. 10, 1894, died Feb. 6, 1897. On June 14, 1899, he married the former Sarah Elizabeth Whaley in Verona. She died Jan. 18, 1948.
He was a member of the Verona Presbyterian Church and New London Lodge, F&AM.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at his home with the Rev. Samuel Southern, pastor of the Verona Presbyterian Church, officiating.
New London Lodge, F&AM will conduct a memorial service at the home Wednesday evening.
