"Wife of Well Known Druggist Dies at home on West Third Street After a Long Illness.
"Mrs. Mabel Hartan Clark, wife of Frank Marvin Clark, died this morning at 8 o'clok at the family residence, 513 West Third Street, at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 12 days. She had been in falling health for about 10 years, and ill at her home for about a month, death being attributed to angina pectoris.
"Mrs. Clark was born in Philadelphia, April 28, 1869. Her parents died when she was an infant after which she lived with her grandfather in New York city. After his death in her early childhood, she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Palmer of Ripley and, altho never legally adopted, was know in that community as Mabel Hartan Palmer. Her marriage to Mr. Clark took place at Ripley on Dec. 30, 1891, the ceremony being preformed by Rev. William L. Hyde, father of Major Fred W. Hyde of this city.
"Two children were born, Donald Marvin Clark, whod died in infancy, and Dr. Fitzgerald Hartan Clark of this city, who survives her.
"Mrs. Clark attended Pennsylvania College for Women at Pittsburgh. She was much interested in literature, music and art and a great reader. She was elected first secretary of the Warner Home boad and held that office under the late Mrs. Charles M. Dow until her strength would no longer permit it. She was a member of the Mozart club and other literary and art clubs of Jamestown.
"Mrs. Clark had lived in Jamestown since her marriage, which was shortly after Mr. Clark established his drug store at 11 East Third street 39 years ago, later moving to the present location at Main and Third streets six years later.
"Mrs. Clark was devoted to her home and family and had a wide circle of friends in Jamestown.
"The funeral will be held privately."
