Nathan W. James, 87 of Pevely, formerly of Lutesville, died July 17, 2014, at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Arnold. Born June 2, 1927, in Lutesville, he was the son of the late Jesse and Beulah Cloninger James.
Mr. James worked as a machine operator for Kohler Craft.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years: Thelma B. (Walker) James. She died Aug. 17, 2007.
He is survived by four daughters Bonnie Basden and Shelby Hogan, both of Arnold, MO; Helen Hamlyn of Imperial, MO and Linda Harmon of Sullivan, MO; one sister: Mary Sue Cobb of Fenton, MO; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marion.
Visitation and funeral services will be Monday, July 21, at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with the Rev. Mink Ferguson and the Rev. Kenny Qualls officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
