Lyle Allen "Sonny" Martin, 78, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. Service: Private. He was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Hutchinson, Kan., to the late James and Ruth(Dewater) Martin. He was a Marine and served in the Korean War, and became a Tarrant County, TX., deputy sheriff and served 15 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Lee Martin., Hutchinson .
Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Joyce Martin of Fort Worth; daughters, Debora Ingram and husband, Ed, of Fort Worth, Mary Wellington of San Antonio; sister, Glenda Martin and husband, Jerry, of Hutchinson, Kan.; four
grandchildren, Jeremy, 2nd Lt. Courtney, Megan and Bobby. nieces, Jolynn Martin, Cindy Miller, Lorie Ann Strong and nephews, Samuel and Chip Martin.
