Jeffrey Donald Lane, 40, of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:40 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2003 on State Road 54, five miles east of Bloomfield.
Born Dec. 22, 1962 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Kenneth and Patricia (Pearson) Lane.
He had worked for Soft Touch Movers in Bloomington and had just started his own business, Clean Sweep Carpet cleaning.
Survivors include, his mother, Patricia Bowman of Bloomfield; his father, Kenneth Lane of Indianapolis; his fiance, Tracy Lane of Bloomfield; children, Jennifer Lane, Michael Lane, Ashley Lane,Kenneth Lane, all of Indianapolis; Jeffrey Lane of Waveland; Jordan Scott of Bloomington; step children, Barry Whitley, Jesse Wilkum, and Brittany Wilkum of Bloomfield; two sisters, Jacqueline Bowman of Bloomington and Marcia Lane of Bloomfield; grandparents, Gilbert and Barbara Pearson of Worthington; grandmother, Thelma Lane of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Wilson Lane.
Funeral service will be at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield at 2 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Ed Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
