-The very sudden and unexpected death of William Hasty was a shocking surprise to the entire comrnunity. The funeral was not arranged for until word could be received from his sons in Iowa. It is learned that the funeral will take place in Lilly and interment made in a nearby cemetery.

Birthdate discrepancy - Dec. 10, 1858 date from Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society volunteer Diane, Find-A-Grave contributor #48341951 who confirms birth date is from the death certificate.
Original date listed was Dec. 15, 1859 obtained from Tazewell County Genealogical & Historical Society – Tazewell County Illinois Cemeteries, Little Mackinaw and Mackinaw Townships, Volume Five, Second Edition 2001. Gravestone has Dec. 15, 1859.
Not sure which one is correct – the death certificate or the gravestone.
