Mae was born June 26, 1918 in Salt Lake City (SLC), UT. Mae was the 17th of 18 children & graduated from North Summit High School in Coalville, where she was raised. She was young & adventurous, moving to California to work in an ammo factory during WWII. Mae traveled back to SLC where she met her soul mate, Erwin Earl "Bud" Moulton; they were married on Feb 18, 1950 and started their family shortly thereafter. They moved to Pocatello, ID in 1955 where they lived for ten years before moving back to SLC, UT in 1965. After Bud joined our Heavenly Father in 1969, Mae started work at the Holy Cross Hospital in SLC until her retirement in 1983 and was continuously active in the LDS Church. After her retirement, Mae moved to Boise, ID to be with her children. She lived on her own until the age of 92 then moved to the Cottages of Meridian, ID.
Mae truly loved spending time with her family & also loved volunteering countless years with the Foster Grandparents program in Boise & had an immense passion of nurturing children. Mae's love for children lead her to volunteer at several daycare centers to help care for children. Mae lived a very full life. She enjoyed travelling; visiting Hawaii as well as Walt Disney World to celebrate her 85th birthday with her family -- she even cruised through the Caribbean to celebrate her 90th birthday with her family. Mae enjoyed traditional 4th-of-July picnics in the mountains near Pocatello, ID with Bud & the kids. Mae was truly loved by everyone who knew her. We want to thank the Cottages of Meridian & Align Hospice for all of their love & compassion towards Mae during her last days.
Mae is preceded in Death by her husband, Bud, and her daughter, Betty Garcia. She is survived by her daughters; Dorothy Hites (Jay), and Chyrell Kuhn (Dan), her son; George Moulton (Nancy), 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren & countless friends.
