Lester Leroy Hill was born Dec. 13, 1936 to Wilbur "Bill" Hill and Juanita (Williams) Hill at Hennessey, Ok.

He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1955, and served in the U. S. Army.

Lester married Pearl Cosper in Anniston, Ala. May 3, 1959.

He was a member of the Kingfisher County Cattlemen's Association and served as President in 1988-89. He was also a member of the Kingfisher County Lamb Breeders Association, was active in Hennessey Celebration and was a founding member of Hennessey Rural Fire Department. Lester was also a lifelong farmer and an FFA State Farmer.

Lester died at the age of 77, Jan. 8, 2014 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was survived by his wife, Pearl; one daughter Donna Dollins and husband W. E.; two sons, Leon Hill and wife Sonya, and Roy Hill and wife Jamie; one brother, Edward "Cotton" Hill; one sister Mae Choate; six grandchildren, Cara Weaks, Kyle Dollins, Justin Hill, Garrett Dollins, Bailey Hill, Anniston Hill; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Weaks.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; and one infant sister.

Funeral services for Lester were January 11, 2014 at First Christian Church with burial at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
