Born June 10, 1917, in West Aliquippa, a son of the late Anthony and Francesca (Rossi) Ross, he was a founding member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Center Twp.
Mr. Ross retired from the welded tube department of LTV Steel in Aliquippa with 46 years of service, and proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Angela (Cerrato) Ross; two sons and daughters-in-law, Nick and Rebecca Ross of Maryland and Dennis and Cindy Ross of New Kensington; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Don Kobaly of Idaho; three beloved grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Ross, Alisha Ross and David Kobaly; a brother, Fred Ross of Beaver Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Nick, William and Thomas Ross and two sisters, Susan Persichetti and Fannie Shahen.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., CENTER TOWNSHIP, 3475 Brodhead Road, Monaca, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct full military honors on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. with prayers offered in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Father Martin Bartel officiating.
Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Hopewell.
A Parish wake service will be held Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
