HAROLD G. PRYOR, 85, of Jefferson Boulevard, Hagerstown, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at Colton Villa Nursing Home. Born April 5, 1913, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late James Walter and Olive Idella Wolfe Pryor.
He was a 1931 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was employed as a consumer credit officer at First National Bank of Maryland, retiring in 1973. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He also was a member of Friendship Lodge 84, AF&AM; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Hagerstown Forest 95; and American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa E. Pryor; one daughter, Jean L. Minor of Hagerstown; one sister, Catherine O. Delauter of Hagerstown; two brothers, Morris W. Pryor and James R. Pryor, both of Hagerstown; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Pryor Mills; and two brothers, Earl H. Pryor and Lauren W. Pryor.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
