Wilma Archuleta passed away January 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Wilma was born in Del Norte, CO on August 21, 1931, to Luciano Medina and Patrosina Thomas. She attended schools in Del Norte until 1947, when her family moved to Grand Junction. Wilma graduated from Grand Junction High School in May, 1950.

She married John Felix Archuleta on October 17, 1959. From this union two daughters were born, June Anne and Lori Jean. John passed away September 23, 1976.

Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren, and taking care of her flower gardens.

Wilma is survived by her two daughters; five grandchildren: Rachel Nicole Archuleta, Joshua Ryan Buniger, Jaime Lee Buniger, Andrew John Archuleta and Jeremy Holden Buniger; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Hope Brooks, and Cash Patrick Brooks; sister, Andrea Archuleta; and brother, Robert Armenta.

Wilma was preceded in death by her brother, Jose Luciano Medina who passed away May, 1978, and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Buniger, who passed away December 24, 1986.

A Rosary will be recited Monday, January 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Following the funeral, there will be a luncheon in the church hall. Burial will be at a later date, in the Spring, when the flowers are blooming.
