James A. Woodward

KAYSVILLE - James Albert Woodward, 74, of 314 W. 1st N., died Saturday night at the South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful of a heart attack.

Mr. Woodward was born May 2, 1897, in Sanford, Colo., a son of James Franklin and Amanda Brothers Woodward. He was married to Dora Elizabeth Barnes on June 5, 1918, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a retired employe of the Bamberger Co. and had worked for Judd Mine Co. in Park City and for Clover Club Food Co. During World War I he served with the U.S. Cavalry.

He was a member of the Kaysville 6th LDS Ward and a high priest.

Surviving are his widow of Kaysville; four sons, Albert Emil Woodward, Leo James Woodward Max Ray Woodward, all of Kaysville; Gail Ross Woodward. Layton; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Elmer Woodward, Salt Lake City; Vick Woodward, Tuscarora, Nev.; Oliver Woodward, Ogden; William Woodward, Arvel Woodward, both of Kaysville; Mrs. Florence Rechman, Orem; Mrs. Alta Allred, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Mrs, Violet Spencer, Bountiful.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12 noon in the Kaysville 6th Ward Chapel, 2nd West and Center, with Bishop Kenneth R. Young officiatinq. Friends may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 340 N. Main, tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park.
