Nitra Filyaw, 97, of Green Valley, Ill., formerly of Sumiton, died Monday, May 3, 1999, in Illinois. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 1999, at McCormack Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Adams will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday. Bell Funeral Home of Sumiton will direct.
She was a member of Sumiton Church of God.
She is survived by her son, Clarence L. Filyaw of Green Valley, Ill.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
