Benjamin Wilmot signed the Fundamental Agreement 4 June 1639 in New Haven and swore fidelity in 1647. Between 1646 and 1649, he was fined for negligent behavior, such as not coming to watch on training day and defective arms. He was assigned to sit in the 9th row of the middle seats in the meeting house. On May 17, 1647, he asked for 24 acres of land which he received in 1662. His home was near West Rock
He married Ann (Unknown) (last name may be Ladd) and she died 7 Oct 1668 in New Haven.
His will dated 7 Aug. 1669 says he was aged about four score and mentions son, William Wilmot, and the children of his three children.
His tombstone was not found along the wall of the Grove Street Cemetery, in the crypt under Center Church, or moved & buried in the Grove Street Cemetery.
Their daughter, ANN (WILMOT) BUNNELL was my ancestor.
