Born Feb. 25, 1921 in Paxton, he was the son of Charles and Iva (Ridge) Risinger.
He was retired from Pfizer's Inc. He was a member of the Sulivan First Christian Church, Sullivan Masonic Lodge 263, the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, and the Sullivan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2459. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include, his wife, Imogene (Adams) Risinger of Sullivan; one son, Rick Risinger of Sullivan; two daughters, Jan Bobbitt of Sullivan and Brenda Jackson of Indianapolis; two brothers, Loren "Bud" Risinger of Sacramento, Calif. and William "Bill" Risinger of Sullivan; one sister, LaVina Jackson of Greenwood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robin Risinger and Gerald Risinger; two brothers, George "Bob" Risinger and Gerald Risinger; one sister, Dola Goodson; one grandson, Jess P. Bobbitt; and his parents.
Funeral services will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with the Revs. Danny Risinger and Jerry Dusenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery with military rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legions.
