Police officer/Photographer. A native of Southington, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS North Carolina, the USS Philippine Sea and the USS Missouri from 1945 to 1947. A police officer in the town of Southington, he became well-known for his photography, having worked through the 1950s and '60s as a freelance photographer for the Meriden Record, the Meriden Journal, the New Haven Register and The Southington News. He is credited with creating the Southington Police Department photography lab. He was active with numerous civic and fraternal organizations. He retired as a sergeant after 33 with the Southington police force and was the first recipient of the Southington Elks Public Safety Award in 1988. He was honored by the Southington Historical Society in 2001 and 2003 with an exhibit of his photography work.
