Mrs. Bly Walsh, 72, prominent resident and business woman of Rogers, Arkansas, died Friday, June 28, at Rogers Memorial Hospital.

Owner and operator of the Hotel Beauty Shop 24 years, she occupied the site during three changes in the hotel's name. During her tenure the hotel was called the Harris Hotel, the Hotel Arkansas, and the present name, Defenders Townhouse.

Mrs. Walsh's father, Newt Gresham, was founder of the Farmers' Union of America and was the owner and editor of newspapers in both Greenville and Mineola, Texas.

In her lifetime, Mrs. Walsh was a school teacher, newspaperwoman, and was among the first women to serve her country in the Women's Army in World War I at Fort Sill, OK. In her teaching role, she taught beauty culture at the Dallas College of Beauty at Dallas, TX.

Survivors include her husband, W. M. Walsh, chef for the Hilton Hotel chain for many years. He also served at chef of the Hotel Arkansas. Her daughter, Mrs. Nellie B. Clyburn, resides in Rogers, Arkansas.
