Lois Earlene Leadbetter Jones McQuiddy, of Marshall, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at The Living Center in Marshall.

At Lois's request there will be no services.

Lois was born in Garden City, MO, on December 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Adelbert Leadbetter and Fern Headington Leadbetter. She graduated from Butler High School and attended Missouri Valley College. She married Howard David Jones on June 7, 1941, who preceded her in death in 1959. Lois later married Edwin C. McQuiddy on February 13, 1960, who also preceded her in death on March 10, 2009. As the owner of the Howard Jones Insurance Agency she was an active business woman in Marshall for many, many years. Lois's hobbies included travel and bonsai.

Lois is survived by her children: Howard David Jones and his wife Janice of Marshall, Judith Duffer and her husband David of Marshall, Ginger Ritchey and her husband Raymond of Raytown, MO and Sabra Noon and her husband Carl of Stafford TX; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Eileen Shugart of the state of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Lois was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Below info provided by Member # 48985354 on Jun 20, 2021:

Record #77387084: I've suggested adding links to the records of her parents.

Her parents were Adelbert Leadbetter and Hallie Fern Headington. She is with her parents in the US census record for 1930.

Her record currently is linked to Record #53972340, which is a cenotaph for her second husband, Edwin Cecil McQuiddy. Record #34783426 is the memorial for his cremated remains, and in that record I've suggested a link to this record. I think the usual convention is to link to the actual burial record (or in this case, the cremation record). I suggest explaining the two links in the text.
