Garfield N. Schmid, Aged Seven, Dies After Short Illness
Garfield Nicholas Schmid, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garfield W. Schmid died at the home of his parents, in the Schmid block in State Street at 6:30 this morning after a short illness of infantile paralysis. He was aged seven years, four months and 15 days. The entire body was paralyzed. Dr. H. E. Phelps was the attending physician. The house was quarantined Monday night. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, one older and two younger. The funeral will be held privately Saturday afternoon at 2. Interment will be made at Fairview.
