He was survived by his wife of 55 years, Lola (Coonradt) Bombard of Bloomingdale, New York; eight sons, Kenneth of Clintonville, New York, Walter Jr. of Au Sable Forks, Larry of Oneida, New York, James of Florida, Melvin of Mineville, New York, William of Au Sable Forks and Bruce and Steven of Clintonville; three daughters, Joan Drake of Au Sable Forks, Gail Nelson of Keeseville and Pamela Bombard of Bloomingdale; 34 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Wallace of Jay and Mildred Patrio of Mineville; and a brother, William Bombard of Lyndonville, New York.
A funeral was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks. Burial was in Holy Name Cemetery.
