Husband of Adelia Hall
Thomas Stevenson Rushforth died December 8, 1993 at his home in Fruit Heights.
He was born July 3, 1909 in Kaysville, Utah, to Samuel B. Rushforth and Clara Jane Stevenson.. He married Adelia Hall (Dee) December 9, 1944. A lifelong resident of Kaysville and Fruit Heights, he graduated from Davis High School and Utah State University. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army and has been active in civic affairs and in his church; serving in many capacities, including bishop and stake high councilman. He also served two missions, the last one with his wife. For the past 14 years, he served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple. He worked for Bennett Glass and Paint for over 40 years, during most of which, he served as office manager and controller.
He is survived by his wife, Dee; children, Dennis Steven (Gail), San Antonio, Texas; Sandra Lynn, Salt Lake City; Layne Thomas (Sharon), Las Vegas, Nev.; Sharla Dene (Franklin Hunt), Magna; and an "almost daughter," Glenda Owens, Orem; 17 grandchildren; and one brother, Cecil, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 11th, at the Fruit Heights Fourth LDS Ward, 24 South Country Lane (1150 East), Fruit Heights. Friends may call at Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church, Saturday morning from 12:30-1:45. Interment at Kaysville Cemetery.
