Wesley Thomas Bishop, 82, died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitation. He retired from the Navy, working in the Defense Plant, and in 1980, he retired from Ball Manufacturing Co., Williamsburg. Mr. Bishop attended Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, and four grandchildren.
A service of remembrance, conducted by the Rev. Linwood Daniels, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends after the service, and interment will be held Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, Texas.
In his memory, memorial contributions may be made to York County Rescue Services, care of Fire and Life Safety, 301 Goodwin Neck Road, Yorktown, VA 23692.
