Pamela Grace Hiller, dearly loved by family and friends, passed away March 22, 2021 in her home on St. Pete Beach.

Born in St. Paul, MN in 1934 to John and Grace Galvin, Pam was raised with two sisters, Patricia ("Pat") and Margaret ("Mickey"). She studied nursing at St. Catherine University where she met the love of her life Charles J. ("Chuck") Hiller. The couple was married on November 3rd, 1956.

Pam was incredibly supportive of her husband, a professional baseball player, whose career took their family all across the country every spring and summer. She enjoyed her time and developed special bonds of friendship with numerous baseball families during the many adventures they shared.

Pam was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She raised three children: Stephanie (David), George, and John. She had four grandchildren: Kelly (Mitchell), Meagan, Scott, Binyam, and new little great granddaughter, Isla.

She was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years, and through the course of her career worked in the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Surgery Unit, as an Intravenous (IV) Specialist, a Nursing Instructor, and several other fields.

After retirement from nursing, Pam dove into her new career as an avid volunteer. She devoted her time and energy to a life of service to others. A large part of her time was spent at St. John Vianney where she was involved with The Legion of Mary, Eucharistic Minister at mass and to the home bound, assisted with funeral and wedding preparations for families, and countless other aspects of church activities. She said the rosary with the women at the Pinellas County jail and at local nursing homes. Pam volunteered at Mary's Outreach, a pregnancy assistance and right-to-life organization. She was passionate in her right-to-life belief and prayed the rosary during the "Forty Days for Life" effort. She also represented children in family court as a volunteer for Guardian at litem.

The Diocese of St. Petersburg honored Pam with the prestigious St. Jude the Apostle Award in recognition of her extensive volunteer work at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and surrounding community.

She was truly a saint on Earth and was lovingly referred to as "Saint Pam" by her family. She treated everyone she encountered with kindness, respect, and a smile. She enhanced the lives of all those around her.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, on Saturday, March 27 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760 or www.EmpathHealth.com
