Zelia C. Bingaman Stump was the daughter of Lewis Bingaman, Jr. and Nancy Lee Brown Bingaman of Brown County, Ohio.

She was the granddaughter of Vincent C. Brown and Martha Ann Allen Brown and of Lewis Bingaman, Sr. (#116691993) and Temperance Cain Bingaman (#116690842) of Greene County, Ohio.

She was the sister of Mary Jane Bingaman Purdom, Lavina Emma Bingaman Ball, Virginia A. Bingaman Underwood, Martha E. Bingaman, Robert Bruce Bingaman, Nancy Luella "Lucy" Bingaman, George E. Bingaman, Nellie R. Bingaman and Joseph H. Bingaman.

She was the wife of Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Stump. They were married on February 18, 1872 in Brown County, Ohio. They had only been married four years at the time of her death.

She was the mother of two daughters. Her first child was Emma Evangeline Stump Crane, born August 13, 1873 in Brown County, who lived to the age of eighty-four years old in Ulysses, Butler County, Nebraska until her death in 1957.

Zelia's second daughter was Mary M. Stump, born on July 27, 1875, who died at age one year, four months, seventeen days, just three weeks after Zelia's death.

Her husband Frank remarried just nine weeks after her death and moved away from Brown County, Ohio taking her daughter Emma Evangeline away from her many loving Bingaman relatives.

Zelia died at the age of twenty-seven of tuberculosis.

She is buried in this same cemetery with both of her parents, her sister Virginia Bingaman Underwood and her daughter Mary.
