Mike was born in Lagrange,Georgia,son of the late Lafayette Eugene Lanier and Mary Parker Lanier.Mike attended the Lagrange School System and graduated from Troup High School in 1967.Mike married his wife Darlene Smallwood and they shared their life together until his death. He went to work with Southern Bell in 1968 and worked in Jonesboro,Columbus, Ga.and retired in Lagrange,Ga. He did a two year tour of duty in the Navy in the late 1960's and early 1970's.Mike was a member of Oakside Baptist Church and a member of the Callaway Gardens Golf Club,an avid golfer,and golfing was his passion.Mike will be missed by his Family and Friends.
