Mr. Ringwalt, 92, was born in New York City to Marguerite Stowitts and Joseph G. Ringwalt, Sr. During World War II, Mr. Ringwalt was a flying instructor with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Later he was the principal of Joseph Garneau Co., an importing firm which was founded by his father.
Mr. Ringwalt was survived by his three children, a sister, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Jean Hatheway Ringwalt.
