She was born June 22, 1930 in Oak Park, Ill to Paul P. and Mildred Holub Clarke.
She was retired as secretary from Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was also a member, a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, and served as a volunteer for St. Edward Mercy Hospital for twenty years.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy W. Shepherd of the home; son, David Craig and wife Dana of Fort Smith; stepson, Barry Shepherd and wife Shirley of Greenwood; step daughter, Donna Helmer and husband Ricky of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Lauren and Erin Craig, Shawna Shepherd, Ricky Helmer, and Adam and Matthew Shepherd; two great grandchildren, Josiah Shepherd and J.J. Fowler.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Adam Shepherd, Matthew Shepherd, Harold Morris, Darrell Larson, Larry Clemmer, and Gary Stokes.
