Funeral services were held Tuesday at the
Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
for Mrs. Ruby Adams Matthews, 65, a native
of here. She was dead on arrival Friday at
McCready Memorial Hospital from an apparent
heart attack.
She was the wife of Elwood Matthews who
survives. Her parents were the late Irving and
Emma Somers Adams. She was a member of
Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Also
surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William
Laird and Mrs. Johnny Sterling, both of
Crisfield; a son, Charles Matthews of
Salisbury; two sisters, Miss Lola Adams and
Mrs. Rudolph Adams, both of Crisfield, and two
brothers, John and Ernest A. Adams of Marion.
The Rev. J. Edward Clawson of Mt. Pleasant
Church conducted the services.
Interment was in the Crisfield Cemetery.
