Services for Charles Murray Lee, Sr. age 86 of Dublin will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 4:00PM at Rockwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Telfair County. Rev. Kelly Maddox and Rev. Allen Wiggins will officiate. He passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014.
Mr. Lee was a member of Marie Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Berry High School in Rome, GA and a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII. Mr. Lee worked with J.P. Stevens for 42 years, retiring as overseer of the Nathaniel weave room. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Yopp Lee and Katie Pritchett Lee Smith; son, Charles Murray Lee, Jr.; grandson, Lindsay Michael Swida, Jr.; brothers, Sydney Clay Lee, Samuel Willard Lee, J.Y. Lee and sister, Carolyn Lee Bracewell.
The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.
