Obituary:
Louise Nada Sidlosky, age 87 of Hillsdale and formerly of Farmington, died peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born February 21, 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of Samuel & Pauline (Bober) Blackford. Louise married Michael Sidlosky on September 30, 1948 and he survives.

Louise graduated from St. Mary of Redford in 1943 and she received her Bachelor of Arts from Marygrove College. After a brief career as a journalist for the Detroit News, the family moved to Farmington Hills, residing there from 1956-1976, at which time they relocated to Hillsdale. Louise was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Hillsdale Newcomers Club. Louise also enjoyed quilting and sewing, co-founding the Raisin Valley Quilting Bee.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Michael; seven children, Carolyn (Harry) Mattison, Mary Beth (Steve) Harnish, David (Candy) Sidlosky, Barbara (Byron) Renner, Mark (Sandie) Sidlosky, Margaret Sidlosky and Rosemary Sidlosky; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Raymond (Delores) Dodds Jr. of Pickford, Michigan.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise Sidlosky will be Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hillsdale with Fr. David Reamsnyder officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale and visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, 11:00 a.m., at the church.
