T/Sgt Gordon A. "Bill" Little,

101st Airborne Division

He made all the jumps that the 101st Airborne Division made.He was in Headquarters and had the job of processing prisoners. He was at Headquarters when Germans brought documents telling them to surrender and General McAuliffe giving the now famous response, "NUTS". He considers himself very lucky to go thru all this, seeing so many comrades killed daily and each time they were to get some rest they were sent in another direction for more combat.

It is well know by other combat outfits in Europe that the 101st Airborne Division received the brunt of "The Battle of the Bulge".
