Joyce was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Paris, Idaho, to William and Bertha Wallentine. She married Wills Del Marr Johnson on Jan. 8, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful Temple.
Joyce is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in the relief society as a visiting teacher. She also worked for the Davis County School District in Utah for many years.
She is survived by their children, Ron, Susan, Terry (Marie), Lance and Alan, by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
