Anita Imke, 86, Sarasota, died Dec. 25, 2002. She was born Feb. 15, 1916, in Aurora, Ill, and came to Sarasota 17 years ago from there. She was a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include nieces Allison Ouren of Menifee, Calif, and Carol Giannini of Westmont, Ill.

No visitation is planned. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Palms Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Palms Memorial Park.

Anita (Arter) Imke, 86, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Aurora, passed away December 25, 2002. She was a long time employee of the Burlington Northern Railroad in Aurora. She was past Matron and Grand Lecturer of Rising Sun Chapter O.E.S. and Guardian Job's Daughters. Anita had also been a member of the Aurora Women's Club. After moving to Florida, she became active in the Pine Shores Presbyterian Church and Children's Haven.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz Imke, her brother Elwin Arter; her brother and sister-in-law Wesley and Edith Arter, a sister Marvel and Stepdaughter Mitzi Herting.
    She is survived by her nieces Allison Ouren of Menifee, CA and Carol Kennedy Giannini of Westmont, IL; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service was held in Sarasota, FL.
