Mrs. Gladys Mae McCullough, age 83, of Newnan died May 8, 2004 at Southland Nursing Home. Mrs. McCullough was born in Coweta County on Sept. 1, 1920 to Jeff and Alice (Knott) Lassetter. Her favorite past time was sitting on the porch and watching the traffic. She was a member of Welcome Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon McCullough; her daughter Barbara Brown; and grandsons, Jeff Schloemer and Michael McCullough.

Funeral services will be today, Monday, at 4 p.m. at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Rev. Dwight L. Moody and Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie McCullough, Chris McCullough, Michael Arrington, Mickey Arrington, Ricky Turner and Timmy King; honorary pallbearers will be Chip Schloemer and Chase Schloemer. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Dorothy McCullough, Larry and Linda McCullough; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and John Schloemer, Lynn and Lee Grant; son-in-law Eddie Brown; sisters Lucille Moat and Katie Barber; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
