LACONIA - Marjorie S. Ryan, 84, of Union Avenue and formerly of Gilford, died Thursday at home.
She was born in Tilton, the daughter of Gilbert and Clara (Sullaway) Manning. She had been a resident of the Lakes Region for many years.
She was employed as an inspector at Allen Rogers for many years, retiring in 1971.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Laconia-Gilford. She was also a member of the Pheasant Ridge Country Club.
Her husband, John Ryan, died in 1996. A son, Charles Williams Jr., died in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Colin "Tony" Williams of Belmont; four daughters, Patrecia Gray of Keene, Marianne Stanton of Ossipee, Norma Raymond of Voluntown, Conn., and Patrecia Morin of Laconia; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Manning of Tilton and Harold Manning of Canterbury; and several nephews and nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health and Hospice Inc., P.O. Box 578, Laconia 03247-0578.
The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home in Laconia is in charge of arrangements.
