Wilton Haddock, 82, of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Jan 8, 2014 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Wilton was born in Chipley, on Nov 14, 1931 to Jack and Annie Bell (Curlee) Haddock. A lifelong resident of the area, Wilton served in the US Air Force. He was self-employed in the Timber Industry from which he retired. He was a member of Wausau Assembly of God Church, and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Gueringer Haddock; parents, Jack and Annie Bell Haddock; 2 brothers, Cecil Haddock and Helton Haddock; and 3 sisters, Ola Mae Haddock, Lena Pippin, and Lucille Odom.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irma Jean Joyner Haddock of Chipley, FL; 4 daughters, Shirley Thompson (Kirk) of Cottondale, FL, Shelia Jones (Stan) of Palm Beach Gardens, Sharon Denison (Joey) of Troy, AL, and Sheryl Stewart of North Ft. Myers, FL; 5 brothers, Elton Haddock (Faye) of Chipley, FL, Clifton Haddock (Shelby) of Chipley, FL, Carlton Haddock of Port St. Joe, FL, Donald Haddock (Joann) of Chipley, FL, and Preston Haddock (Judy) of Chipley, FL; 4 sisters, Videll Dykes of Chipley, FL, Myrtle Hodges of Pensacola, FL, Luverne Bush (Sid) of Chipley, FL, and Joyce Summers (Don) of Dothan, AL; 9 grandchildren, Ashton "AJ" Thompson, Amy Thompson, Mackenzie Thompson, Jessica Goolsby (Casey), Will Denison, Joey Denison, Macon Stewart, Ronnie Stewart and Holly Stewart; 1 great-grandchild, Carter Goolsby; and step-children, Faye Mason of Panama City, FL, Larry Joyner (Linda) of Chipley, FL, and Wanda Berry (Jim) of Chipley, FL.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm, Sun, Jan 12, 2014 at Wausau Assembly of God Church with Revs. Danny Burns, Elton Haddock, Clifton Haddock, Preston Haddock, and T. A. Greene officiating. Burial followed in the Haddock Cemetery in Washington Co., FL with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing. Family received friends from 4-6 pm Sat, Jan 11, 2014 at Wausau Assembly of God Church. Monetary donations can be made in memory of Wilton Haddock to Emerald Coast Hospice and/or Northwest Florida Community Hospital (third floor) Activity Fund at P. O. Box 889, Chipley, FL.
