She was retired from the Hillsboro Glass Factory. She was very active as a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. She was also a member of the Grandmother's Club and the VFW Auxiliary.
She was born in Edwardsville, a daughter of Walter and Anna Evanik Dees. She married Mario "Schutts" Codemo on November 9, 1927, in Witt. He died December 2, 1987.
Surviving are a son, (living) Codemo of Godfrey; daughter, (living) Henry of Topeka; brothers, Roy Dees of Litchfield, Arthur Dees of Daytona, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a son, Walter Codemo in 1979 and two brothers.
