Bobby Andrew Oliver was born on March 19, 1932 in Imo (now Welcome Home), AR, and passed away at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, AR, on September 01, 2005. He was the middle child of eleven children born to Jack and Mary Lathum Oliver in a family that also included two half brothers and one half sister. He was proud to be a veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.

Bob was saved and baptized in October, 1969 and spent the rest of his life in dedicated service to his Lord. He firmly believed his life should reflect his beliefs and, though he would tell you he was not perfect, he strived daily to please his Lord and be a good example for his family and friends.

Bob was a dependable, hard-working person all his life, working many years as a drywall finisher and carpenter, and, for the past 35 years, as an employee of the Searcy County Livestock Auction Co. He loved to fish and hunt with his kids and grandkids and was looking forward to teaching the great grandsons how to fish. He enjoyed gospel music and was a regular at the Music Barn. He also loved to garden and share the bounty of his efforts with his family and neighbors.

On September 27, 1953, Bob married Nola Reves and they shared their lives together for almost 53 years.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nola, His daughters and sons-in-law, Malinda and Harold Cash, and Kathy and Jerry Ward; and his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Tina Oliver; nine grandkids and their spouses (who he loved dearly), Julie & Thomas Horton, Dac & April Cash, Tracy Cash, Jenny & Josh Gray, Jerry Andrew Oliver, Benny Ward, Hannah Ward, David Elliott and Brian Elliott; three very special great grandsons, Austin and Jackson Horton and Luke Cash. Four sisters, Edith Bohannon, Pauline Hammonds, Gladys Henningson, and Flora Long. One brother, J.C. Oliver.

Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Marshall with Chuck Stansbery and Roy Ragland officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Chimes Community in Van Buren County, Ar. Pallbearers are Dac Cash, Tracy Cash, Benny Ward, Jerry Andrew Oliver, Thomas Horton, David Elliott, Brian Elliott and Josh Gray.
