Delores M. Cummings, 74, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Victory Baptist Church, 243 Marshall Mill Road, Fort Valley, with Rev. Chet Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 S. Camellia Blvd., Fort Valley. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Rooks Funeral Home, 213 West Church Street, Fort Valley. Born in Byron to the late Walter Leroy Moody and Foye Mozelle Watson Moody, Mrs. Cummings was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base and a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved to camp, and enjoyed going to flea markets and hunting for antiques. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bobby Cummings; children, Ray Cummings of Moultrie, Vince Cummings (Sue) of Claxton, and Tracy Foye Allgood of Perry; grandchildren, Robert Lee Cummings, John Tyrel Cummings and Jennifer Leann Cummings, all of Albany, Tammi Ryan of Atlanta, and Elizabeth Ann Wheeless and Natalie Nicole Wheeless, both of Perry; brothers, Walter Leroy Moody, Jr. of Alabama and Bobby Moody (Diane) of Greenwood, SC, and her beloved dog "Kelly." She is preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Higgins. Flowers will be accepted or donations made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202, or online at www.lls.org. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
