August C. Fowler, 78 years old, died Tuesday at his home in Lutesville, following an illness of 18 months. He was born November 12, 1887 at Zalma, Mo.
On June 29, 1926 he married Eula Sharp, and she survives.
Mr. Fowler was a retired timber worker.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. William Merwin of San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Lindell Baker of Flat River, Mo.; Mrs. Wayne Barnes of Moore Park, Calif.; Mrs. Robert Subick of Bunker Hill, Ill.; and Mrs. William Sumner of Simi, Calif.; two sons, Douglas Fowler of Ventura, Calif.; and August C. Fowler, Jr. of Filmore, Calif.; two brothers, Harry Fowler of Advance, Mo.; and Charley Fowler of Lincoln Park, Mich.; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be this afternoon (Thursday) at Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Cemetery.
