Evelyn Janet Flint, 77, of Flower, WV, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at home after a long illness.

She was born June 24, 1927, at Clay, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Newton Hamrick and Rosa Jane Williams Hamrick; stepmother, Opal McKinney; husband, Leonard Vale Flint; sisters, Ruby Hamrick, Opal Hickman, Lenora Nicholas and Evelyn Lovings; brothers, Noville, Clifton, Cecil, Clarence, Clifford and Kenneth Hamrick; and one grandson, Timothy Wayne Heavner.

Evelyn was a member of the Copen United Methodist Church and was the retired postmaster at Flower.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Louise Harrison (Lloyd) of Exchange, WV, Patsy Jean Heavner of Burnsville, WV, Susan Ann Wine (Letcher), of Copen.; son, Lonnie Joe Flint (Nancy) of Flower; sister, Dolly West, age 90, of Clay; brother, Mack Hamrick of Clay; grandchildren, Richard and wife, Lisa Heavner, Rhonda (Jason) Hunt, Nathan ( Marcy) Harrison, Whitney Harrison, Sonya Flint, Shelly (David) Karickhoff and Travis Vale Flint; great-grandchildren, Kassidy and Seth Heavner, Zoey and Zackery Harrison, Lainey Jae Hunt.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at the Copen United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Copen Cemetery.
